Municipal representatives play an important role in connecting citizens with the local administration. Their responsibilities include addressing civic concerns, improving public services, and ensuring that development projects benefit every ward and neighbourhood. As Mohali continues to expand, effective coordination between elected representatives, government departments, and residents remains essential for sustainable urban development and efficient civic governance.
The event also highlighted the importance of religious institutions in promoting social harmony and encouraging community participation. Such gatherings not only provide spiritual guidance but also inspire people to work collectively for the welfare of society while upholding the values of compassion, equality, and public service.
Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government continues to focus on strengthening grassroots governance, improving citizen-centric services, and promoting transparent administration. Public participation and community engagement remain central to achieving inclusive and sustainable development across the state.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh congratulated S. Bachchan Singh Boparai and his family on the electoral victory and wished them success in serving the people of Ward No. 38.
He said:
“Public representatives have a significant responsibility towards the people who place their trust in them. I am confident that S. Bachchan Singh Boparai will work with sincerity and dedication for the welfare of residents, strengthen civic services, and contribute to the continued development of Mohali.”
He further emphasized that religious and community gatherings offer an opportunity to seek spiritual guidance while reinforcing the values of humility, service, and collective responsibility. He added that meaningful development is possible only when citizens, public representatives, and community institutions work together with a shared commitment towards public welfare.
The programme concluded with Ardas for the continued progress, peace, and prosperity of the community. As Mohali continues its journey of rapid urban development, such occasions strengthen the bond between citizens, religious institutions, and elected representatives while encouraging greater community participation, social harmony, and inclusive development across the city.
