Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Plan has begun a religious, historical and heritage journey for elderly residents of two villages in Mohali, with three buses departing for the scheduled visits. One bus left from village Manak Majra, while two buses departed from village Mote Majra.

The three buses are carrying elderly pilgrims from both villages on a common programme covering five named destinations. The journey includes places of worship as well as sites linked with history, heritage and experiences associated with Punjab's past. After completing the listed visits, the pilgrims will return to their villages.

The departure from the two villages marks the start of the visit programme under the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Plan. The bus arrangement has been set according to the participating villages. Manak Majra has sent one bus, and Mote Majra has sent two buses, bringing the total number of buses involved in the journey to three.

The pilgrims from the two villages are therefore travelling as part of one shared itinerary, even though the buses began their journey from separate locations. The programme brings the elderly participants together for visits that combine religious places with locations associated with history and heritage. The five destinations listed for the journey will be visited before the group returns to Mohali.

Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Plan covers five destinations

The first named religious destination in the itinerary is Shri Harmandir Sahib. The elderly pilgrims will also visit Durgiana Temple as part of the programme. These two places of worship are included alongside the other religious, historical and heritage locations listed for the journey.

The itinerary further includes Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal. The listed programme then takes the pilgrims to Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum. The journey therefore brings together religious sites and locations connected with important historical and heritage themes, rather than being limited to visits to places of worship.

The five destinations named for the journey are Shri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal, Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum. The elderly pilgrims will visit each of these locations before returning. Together, the destinations form the central part of the programme for the group travelling from Manak Majra and Mote Majra.

Shri Harmandir Sahib and Durgiana Temple represent the religious places included in the itinerary. Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal is also part of the listed pilgrimage programme, followed by visits to Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum. The sequence brings the different parts of the journey into one programme covering religious, historical and heritage locations.

The journey began with one bus leaving Manak Majra and two buses leaving Mote Majra. From the two villages, the elderly participants will travel to the destinations included in the programme. The buses are carrying the participants for the same five scheduled visits, after which the pilgrims will return to their villages.

The departure also brings elderly residents from the two Mohali villages together for a shared journey. While the buses have separate points of departure, the participants are travelling under the same programme and will visit the same five destinations. The pilgrims will return after the listed visits are completed, making the departure the beginning of the full itinerary rather than the end of the programme.

Accommodation and food during the journey

During the pilgrimage, the Mann government will provide accommodation and food for the elderly pilgrims. The arrangements cover their stay and meals during the journey. The assurance applies to the participants travelling in the three buses that departed from Manak Majra and Mote Majra.

The provision of accommodation and food is part of the facilities being made available under the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Plan. These arrangements will continue while the elderly pilgrims travel to Shri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal, Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum.

The facilities cover the practical needs identified for the journey: a place to stay and food during the scheduled visits. They are being provided for the elderly pilgrims travelling from both villages. This means the participants in the one bus from Manak Majra and the two buses from Mote Majra are included in the arrangements made for the pilgrimage.

For the participants, the programme combines travel, religious visits and stops at places of historical and heritage significance. One bus from Manak Majra and two buses from Mote Majra are taking part. The accommodation and food provided by the Mann government will support the pilgrims during the journey and their visits to the five locations.

The pilgrimage has brought elderly participants from both Mohali villages into a common visit programme. It includes Shri Harmandir Sahib and Durgiana Temple, along with Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal, Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum. With the buses now on the journey, the pilgrims will complete the listed visits before returning to Manak Majra and Mote Majra.

The departure highlights the programme arranged for this group of elderly pilgrims from Mohali. The three buses, the five named destinations, and the accommodation and food arrangements are all part of the journey. After visiting the listed religious, historical and heritage locations, the participants will return to their villages under the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Plan.
