The commission helps women through grievance redressal, inquiry support, counselling, Lok Adalat sessions and recommendations for better legal and social protection.

Grievance Redressal: Complaints related to unfair practices, domestic violence, dowry harassment and crimes against women.
Suo Motu Cognizance: Can independently take notice of issues affecting women and start inquiry.
Lok Adalats: Conducts Lok Adalats and counselling sessions for family and matrimonial disputes.
Advisory Role: Recommends legal and administrative changes for women welfare in Punjab.
