In a significant initiative aimed at promoting spiritual well-being and honoring senior citizens, MLA Mohali Kulwant Singh today flagged off a special bus pilgrimage from Kumbra village in Mohali under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Plan. The event marked the beginning of a sacred journey for elderly pilgrims who will visit some of the most revered religious and historical sites in Punjab.
The bus, carrying senior citizens from different parts of the constituency, was ceremoniously flagged off amid a warm and respectful atmosphere. He emphasized that many elderly citizens, due to financial or physical constraints, are often unable to undertake such journeys on their own. “This pilgrimage is not just a यात्रा but a way to fulfill the spiritual aspirations of our senior citizens. The government is committed to ensuring that they experience comfort, dignity, and devotion throughout the journey,” he stated.
The MLA further assured that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for the pilgrims.
