Kulwant Singh Flags Off Pilgrimage Bus from Raipur Kalan Under Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Plan
Continuing efforts to support the spiritual well-being of senior citizens, Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh flagged off a bus pilgrimage from village Raipur Kalan under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Plan.
The bus carrying senior pilgrims was flagged off in the presence of local residents and officials, marking the beginning of a well-organised spiritual journey. During the pilgrimage, devotees will visit key religious and historical destinations including Sri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Pilgrimage Site, Jallianwala Bagh, and Partition Museum.
Speaking on the occasion, Kulwant Singh said that the initiative aims to provide senior citizens with an opportunity to undertake religious visits with ease and dignity. He noted that many elderly residents are unable to plan such journeys independently, and this scheme ensures they can fulfil their spiritual aspirations comfortably.
He further stated that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is ensuring that all necessary arrangements including transportation, accommodation, and meals are provided to the pilgrims throughout the journey.
Residents of Raipur Kalan appreciated the initiative, highlighting that such efforts reflect a continued focus on the welfare and well-being of senior citizens.
Kulwant Singh reiterated his commitment to ensuring that more residents of the Mohali constituency benefit from such initiatives, enabling them to stay connected with their cultural and spiritual heritage.
