Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh Attends Women Empowerment Event in Sector 91, Honors Self-Help Group Members
Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh attended a women empowerment program held in Sector 91, Mohali, where members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) were honored for their contributions.
The event focused on recognizing women who have become self-reliant by generating their own employment and contributing equally to their families. As part of a statewide initiative, around 100 women from Self-Help Groups are being honored in each constituency across Punjab.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA highlighted the vital role of women in society, stating that they form the backbone of families and communities. He emphasized that encouraging women towards self-reliance is essential for building a stronger and more progressive society.
The initiative, being carried out under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, aims to inspire more women to take up entrepreneurial activities and become financially independent.
The MLA also acknowledged the efforts of constituency women coordinator Ramanpreet Kaur for her role in organizing the event and ensuring its success. Women participants expressed appreciation for the recognition, stating that such encouragement motivates them to continue their efforts and inspires others in the community
