MLA Kulwant Singh Interacts with Ward 40 Residents, Discusses Development and Civic Infrastructure Priorities
As part of ongoing public outreach initiatives in Mohali, MLA Kulwant Singh visited Ward No. 40 and interacted with residents while extending support to Aam Aadmi Party candidate Bibi Kamaljit Kaur. The programme provided an opportunity for direct engagement with citizens and discussions on local development priorities, civic infrastructure, and public welfare.
Residents from different parts of the ward participated in the interaction and shared their views regarding roads, sanitation, street lighting, water supply, parks, waste management, and other public services. Such interactions help strengthen communication between citizens and public representatives while ensuring that community concerns are effectively addressed through responsive governance.
Ward-level development continues to play a crucial role in Mohali’s overall urban growth. As one of Punjab’s rapidly expanding cities, Mohali requires efficient municipal administration, improved civic infrastructure, and citizen-focused planning. Municipal representatives serve as an important link between residents and local authorities, helping facilitate development projects and address issues affecting everyday life.
The programme highlighted the importance of active community participation in governance and development. Regular engagement with residents enables local leaders to better understand public priorities and ensure that development initiatives remain aligned with the needs of the community. Citizen involvement also contributes to greater transparency, accountability, and effectiveness in public administration.
Mohali’s continued growth has increased the demand for quality public services and well-maintained civic infrastructure. Addressing these requirements requires coordinated efforts between municipal authorities, elected representatives, and local communities. Strengthening local governance remains essential for ensuring sustainable urban development and improving the quality of life for residents.
Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has been focusing on strengthening local governance, improving public services, and promoting transparent administration. Municipal representatives are expected to contribute to these efforts by supporting development projects and addressing grassroots concerns across their respective wards.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh stated that residents deserve reliable civic services, better infrastructure, and development that positively impacts their daily lives. He encouraged citizens to remain actively involved in community affairs and support initiatives aimed at improving public welfare and neighbourhood development.
He further expressed confidence in Bibi Kamaljit Kaur’s ability to work for the welfare of Ward 40 residents and contribute to the area’s continued progress. He reiterated his commitment to supporting development initiatives, strengthening civic amenities, and ensuring that public concerns receive timely attention.
The programme concluded with interactions between residents, community leaders, and local representatives, reflecting the importance of public participation in democratic governance. As Mohali continues its development journey, the focus remains on enhancing civic infrastructure, improving public services, and ensuring inclusive growth that benefits all sections of society.
