As part of ongoing public outreach activities in Mohali, MLA Kulwant Singh visited Ward No. 42 and interacted with residents while extending support to Aam Aadmi Party candidate S. Sarabjit Singh Samana. The programme provided an opportunity for direct engagement with citizens and discussions on local development priorities, civic infrastructure, and public welfare initiatives.
Residents from different parts of the ward participated in the interaction and shared their concerns regarding road maintenance, sanitation, street lighting, water supply, waste management, public amenities, and other civic services. Such engagements play an important role in strengthening communication between citizens and public representatives while ensuring that community needs remain central to development planning.
Ward No. 42 continues to experience urban growth and increasing demand for quality infrastructure and efficient public services. Municipal representatives play a vital role in addressing these challenges by coordinating with local authorities, monitoring civic projects, and ensuring that residents’ concerns receive timely attention. Effective local governance remains essential for improving the quality of life and supporting sustainable urban development.
The programme also highlighted the importance of active citizen participation in governance and community development. Regular interaction with residents helps identify local priorities, encourages transparency, and promotes accountability in public administration. Such collaborative efforts contribute significantly to building stronger and more responsive local institutions.
Mohali’s rapid expansion has increased the need for improved civic infrastructure, better service delivery, and long-term development planning. Addressing these requirements requires close cooperation between municipal authorities, elected representatives, and local communities to ensure balanced and inclusive growth across all areas of the city.
Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has been focusing on strengthening local governance, improving public services, and promoting citizen-centric development. Municipal representatives are expected to contribute to these objectives by supporting grassroots development initiatives and ensuring that public welfare remains a key priority.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh emphasized that meaningful development can only be achieved through dedicated leadership, public participation, and continuous engagement with residents. He encouraged citizens to remain actively involved in community affairs and support efforts aimed at improving local infrastructure and public services.
He further expressed confidence in S. Sarabjit Singh Samana’s ability to work for the welfare of Ward 42 residents and contribute towards the area’s continued progress. He reiterated his commitment to supporting development projects, strengthening civic amenities, and ensuring that public concerns are addressed effectively.
The programme concluded with discussions between residents, community leaders, and local representatives, reflecting the importance of democratic participation and grassroots engagement. As Mohali continues its development journey, the focus remains on enhancing civic infrastructure, improving public services, and ensuring inclusive growth that benefits every section of society.
