MLA Kulwant Singh Interacts with Ward 10 Residents, Discusses Development and Civic Infrastructure Priorities
As part of the Mohali Municipal Corporation election campaign, MLA Kulwant Singh visited Ward No. 10 and conducted a public outreach programme in support of Aam Aadmi Party candidate Satyajit Kundra. During the campaign, he met local residents, interacted with community members, and discussed the importance of strong local governance and continued development across the ward.
The campaign provided an opportunity for residents to share their concerns and expectations regarding civic services and infrastructure. Discussions focused on issues such as sanitation, roads, street lighting, public parks, waste management, water supply, and other facilities that directly impact the daily lives of citizens. Such interactions are essential for understanding local priorities and ensuring that future development efforts are aligned with the needs of the community.
Ward-level representation plays a crucial role in the functioning of municipal governance. Councillors act as a bridge between residents and the Municipal Corporation, helping address local concerns and ensuring that civic services are delivered efficiently. As Mohali continues to expand and develop, effective local leadership becomes increasingly important for maintaining quality infrastructure and public amenities.
The campaign also emphasized the importance of public participation in the democratic process. Residents were encouraged to exercise their right to vote and actively contribute to shaping the future of their communities. Strong citizen engagement helps create greater accountability and supports better decision-making at the local level.
Mohali’s rapid urban growth has increased the demand for improved civic infrastructure and efficient public services. From better roads and sanitation facilities to enhanced community amenities, sustained development requires close coordination between residents, elected representatives, and municipal authorities. Local body elections provide an important opportunity to strengthen this relationship and ensure that public concerns are addressed effectively.
Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has been focusing on strengthening local governance institutions and improving service delivery. Municipal representatives play a key role in supporting these efforts by working towards citizen welfare, community development, and better civic administration.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that the development of Mohali depends on dedicated public representatives who remain connected with the people and work consistently to address their concerns. He encouraged residents to participate actively in the electoral process and support candidates committed to public service and community welfare.
He further expressed confidence that Satyajit Kundra would work diligently for the people of Ward 10 and contribute towards improving civic services and local infrastructure. He assured residents that continued efforts would be made to ensure comprehensive development of the area and enhance the quality of life for local communities.
The campaign concluded with interactions between residents and local leaders, reinforcing the importance of democratic participation and community engagement. As Mohali moves closer to the Municipal Corporation elections, the focus remains on development, improved public services, and creating stronger, more responsive local governance for all residents.
