As part of ongoing public outreach initiatives in Mohali, MLA Kulwant Singh visited Wave Estate in Ward No. 41 and interacted with residents while extending support to Aam Aadmi Party candidate Kritika Sharma. Residents of Wave Estate participated actively in the interaction and shared their views regarding road maintenance, cleanliness, waste management, street lighting, water supply, green spaces, security-related concerns, and other civic amenities. Such engagements help strengthen communication between citizens and public representatives while ensuring that community needs remain central to development planning and governance.
Wave Estate has emerged as one of the prominent residential communities in SAS Nagar Mohali, with growing expectations regarding quality infrastructure and efficient public services. As urban expansion continues, the importance of responsive local governance and well-planned civic development has increased significantly. Municipal representatives play a key role in addressing residents’ concerns and ensuring that development initiatives are implemented effectively.
The programme also highlighted the importance of regular interaction between residents and public representatives. Community engagement helps identify local priorities, promotes transparency, and strengthens accountability in governance. Such collaborative efforts contribute to better decision-making and support the successful implementation of development projects that directly benefit citizens.
Mohali’s continued growth has increased the need for improved civic infrastructure, sustainable urban planning, and efficient public service delivery. Addressing these challenges requires coordinated efforts between local authorities, elected representatives, and community stakeholders to ensure balanced and inclusive development across all neighbourhoods.
Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has been focusing on strengthening local governance, improving citizen services, and promoting development-oriented administration. Municipal representatives are expected to contribute to these objectives by addressing grassroots concerns and supporting initiatives that improve public welfare and quality of life.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh emphasized that the future progress of Mohali depends on responsive governance, quality civic infrastructure, and active public participation. He encouraged residents to remain engaged in community affairs and support initiatives aimed at improving local amenities and strengthening neighbourhood development.
He further expressed confidence in Kritika Sharma’s ability to work for the welfare of Ward 41 residents and contribute towards enhancing civic services and infrastructure in the area. He reiterated his commitment to ensuring that development projects continue to address the needs and aspirations of local communities.
The programme concluded with discussions between residents, community representatives, and local leaders, reflecting the importance of democratic participation and grassroots engagement. As Mohali continues its development journey, the focus remains on enhancing civic infrastructure, improving public services, and ensuring sustainable growth that benefits all sections of society.
