A Lok Milni programme was organised in Village Kalon, SAS Nagar Mohali, on 30 June 2026, where MLA Kulwant Singh interacted with local residents to discuss public grievances, village development, and ongoing welfare initiatives. The programme provided villagers with an opportunity to directly share their concerns while reinforcing the Punjab Government’s commitment to transparent, responsive, and citizen-centric governance under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
During the interaction, residents from different parts of the village raised issues related to roads, sanitation, drinking water supply, street lighting, public utilities, civic infrastructure, and other local development priorities. MLA Kulwant Singh patiently listened to every representation and assured the villagers that all genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned government departments to ensure timely action and effective resolution. He emphasised that regular Lok Milni programmes help strengthen communication between citizens and the administration while enabling quicker follow-up on public issues.
The meeting also served as an opportunity to inform residents about various public welfare schemes and development projects implemented by the Punjab Government over the past four and a half years. Discussions highlighted initiatives related to rural infrastructure, road development, healthcare, education, drinking water, sanitation, citizen services, and community welfare that are contributing to the overall progress of SAS Nagar Mohali and the state.
Community participation remained a key focus of the programme, with villagers sharing valuable suggestions and feedback regarding the future development of their area. Such interactions play an important role in identifying local priorities, strengthening public trust, and ensuring that development initiatives remain aligned with the needs and aspirations of the people. Regular engagement with residents also supports better planning and more effective implementation of government programmes.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that addressing public concerns and ensuring timely resolution of local issues remains one of his foremost responsibilities. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is continuously working to strengthen public infrastructure, improve citizen services, and implement welfare initiatives that directly benefit every section of society. He further encouraged residents to continue participating in public interaction programmes and actively contribute to the development of their village through constructive suggestions and community involvement. He noted that close cooperation between citizens, elected representatives, and government departments is essential for achieving balanced and sustainable development.
