A comprehensive review meeting was held at the Mohali Municipal Corporation office on 26 June 2026, where MLA Kulwant Singh met with the Mayor, Senior Deputy Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and municipal councillors to discuss ward-wise development priorities, civic infrastructure, and public welfare initiatives across SAS Nagar Mohali. The meeting focused on strengthening coordination between elected representatives and accelerating development projects to ensure better civic amenities and improved public services for residents.
During the meeting, councillors from different wards presented the key development requirements and highlighted issues related to roads, drainage, sanitation, drinking water supply, street lighting, parks, public utilities, and other essential civic infrastructure. A detailed review was conducted to assess the status of ongoing works, identify priority areas, and discuss solutions for issues requiring immediate attention.
MLA Kulwant Singh carefully reviewed the suggestions and concerns raised by the councillors and assured them that all genuine development works falling within his jurisdiction would be pursued on priority with the concerned government departments. He emphasised that close coordination between the Municipal Corporation, state government departments, and elected representatives is essential for ensuring the timely execution of projects and improving the quality of civic services across the city.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of ongoing infrastructure projects and discussed future development plans aimed at strengthening urban infrastructure in Mohali. Particular emphasis was placed on improving roads, drainage systems, sanitation services, water supply, public facilities, and other civic amenities to meet the growing needs of one of Punjab’s fastest-developing urban centres.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that every ward has its own unique development priorities, and addressing these needs through proper planning and regular monitoring is essential for ensuring balanced urban development. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government remains committed to strengthening civic infrastructure, improving citizen services, and implementing development projects that directly benefit the people of Mohali.
He further said that regular review meetings with municipal representatives help improve transparency, strengthen coordination, and accelerate the implementation of public welfare initiatives. He encouraged all councillors to continue working closely with the administration so that development projects are completed efficiently and residents receive the full benefits of government programmes.
