A community interaction programme was organised in Village Bahrampur, SAS Nagar Mohali, on 3 July 2026, where MLA Kulwant Singh met local residents to review ongoing development works, discuss public welfare initiatives, and gather feedback on the future development priorities of the village. The programme served as an important platform for strengthening communication between citizens and their elected representative while highlighting the Punjab Government’s commitment to transparent, responsive, and people-centric governance under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
During the interaction, residents were informed about a wide range of development projects and welfare schemes implemented across Mohali during the past four and a half years. Discussions focused on improvements in road infrastructure, drinking water supply, sanitation, healthcare, education, rural development, public utilities, and citizen services that have contributed to improving the quality of life across both villages and urban areas. Villagers also shared their suggestions, discussed local issues, and highlighted development priorities for the continued progress of Bahrampur.
Residents raised several concerns related to civic amenities, including roads, drainage, street lighting, sanitation, and other public infrastructure. He emphasised that regular interaction with residents helps identify grassroots issues and strengthens the implementation of development works.
The programme highlighted the importance of continuous dialogue between public representatives and citizens in ensuring inclusive and sustainable development. Community interaction not only creates greater awareness about government initiatives but also promotes transparency, accountability, and active public participation in governance. Such meetings help improve coordination between the administration and local communities while ensuring that development projects remain aligned with the real needs of the people.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that meaningful development is achieved through constant engagement with citizens and a clear understanding of local priorities. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government remains committed to strengthening public infrastructure, improving citizen services, and implementing welfare programmes that directly benefit every section of society.
