MLA Kulwant Singh Reviews Public Issues During Daun Ramgarh Community Meeting
A community interaction programme was organised in Village Daun Ramgarh, SAS Nagar Mohali, on 6 July 2026, where MLA Kulwant Singh met local residents to review ongoing development works, discuss public welfare initiatives, and understand the future development priorities of the village. The programme served as an important platform for direct public engagement, allowing villagers to interact with their elected representative while receiving updates on the Punjab Government’s development agenda under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
During the interaction, residents were informed about the major development projects and welfare schemes implemented across SAS Nagar Mohali over the past four and a half years. Discussions covered improvements in road connectivity, drinking water supply, sanitation, rural infrastructure, healthcare, education, public utilities, citizen services, and various welfare programmes that have contributed to improving the quality of life across both villages and urban areas. Villagers also shared their suggestions, highlighted local development priorities, and discussed issues affecting their community.
Residents raised concerns regarding roads, drainage, street lighting, sanitation, drinking water facilities, and other civic amenities. MLA Kulwant Singh listened attentively to every concern and assured the villagers that all genuine matters would be taken up with the concerned government departments to ensure prompt action and effective resolution. He emphasised that regular interaction with citizens enables the administration to better understand grassroots challenges and deliver development that reflects the actual needs of the people.
The programme highlighted the importance of maintaining continuous dialogue between citizens and public representatives to strengthen transparency, accountability, and people-centric governance. Community meetings help improve coordination between government departments and local communities, create greater awareness about government welfare schemes, and encourage active public participation in the planning and implementation of development projects. Such interactions play an important role in ensuring balanced and inclusive growth across Mohali.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that meaningful development is achieved when governance remains closely connected with the people. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government continues to strengthen public infrastructure, improve citizen services, and implement welfare initiatives that directly benefit every section of society. He added that the valuable suggestions and active participation of villagers help shape future development plans and ensure that progress reaches every village in the constituency.
He further encouraged residents to continue participating in community meetings and work together with the administration for the development of their village. He emphasised that cooperation between citizens, elected representatives, and government departments is essential for transparent governance, stronger public services, and sustainable long-term development.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to accelerating development works, strengthening rural infrastructure, and improving public services across SAS Nagar Mohali. Through sustained investment in essential infrastructure, responsive governance, and active community participation, the Punjab Government and MLA Kulwant Singh remain dedicated to building stronger villages, enhancing civic amenities, and creating a more prosperous future for the people of Mohali.
