A public outreach programme was organised in Village Raipur Khurd, SAS Nagar Mohali, on 3 July 2025, where MLA Kulwant Singh interacted with local residents to review ongoing development works, discuss public welfare initiatives, and understand the future development priorities of the village. The programme provided an important platform for direct dialogue between citizens and their elected representative while sharing updates on the Punjab Government’s development agenda under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
During the interaction, residents were informed about the major development projects and welfare schemes implemented across SAS Nagar Mohali over the previous four and a half years. Discussions focused on improvements in road connectivity, rural infrastructure, drinking water supply, sanitation, healthcare, education, public utilities, citizen services, and various welfare programmes that have contributed to improving the quality of life across both villages and urban areas. Villagers also shared their suggestions, highlighted local development priorities, and discussed issues requiring attention from the concerned departments.
Residents raised concerns related to roads, drainage, street lighting, sanitation, public infrastructure, and other civic amenities. MLA Kulwant Singh listened carefully to every representation and assured the villagers that all genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned government departments for prompt action and effective resolution. He emphasised that regular public outreach programmes help identify grassroots challenges and ensure that development works are implemented according to the actual needs of local communities.
The programme highlighted the importance of continuous communication between citizens and public representatives in strengthening transparent, accountable, and people-centric governance. Such interactions improve coordination between government departments and local communities, create greater awareness about government welfare schemes, and encourage active public participation in the planning and execution of development projects. They also ensure that governance remains responsive to the aspirations and expectations of the people.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that the development of Mohali depends on continuous engagement with the people and governance that remains focused on public welfare. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government continues to strengthen public infrastructure, improve citizen services, and implement welfare initiatives that directly benefit every section of society. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the residents of Raipur Khurd for their warm welcome, active participation, and valuable suggestions, stating that public feedback plays an important role in shaping future development plans.
He further encouraged residents to remain actively involved in community meetings and continue working together with the administration for the overall progress of their village. He emphasised that cooperation between citizens, elected representatives, and government departments is the key to transparent governance, better civic amenities, and sustainable long-term development.
