The meeting also provided an opportunity to review ongoing development projects and discuss future priorities for different villages, sectors, and residential areas across SAS Nagar Mohali. Residents were informed about various public welfare schemes and development initiatives being implemented by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, including improvements in road connectivity, public infrastructure, healthcare, education, sanitation, drinking water facilities, and citizen services. Participants were encouraged to continue sharing constructive suggestions to help strengthen local development planning.
Regular public grievance meetings play a vital role in promoting transparent, accountable, and people-centric governance. Such interactions help identify grassroots challenges, strengthen coordination between government departments and local communities, and ensure that development projects remain aligned with the actual needs of the people. They also reinforce public confidence by providing residents with direct access to their elected representative and creating an effective platform for resolving civic concerns.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that listening to the concerns of residents and ensuring their timely resolution remains one of his foremost responsibilities. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government continues to strengthen public infrastructure, improve citizen services, and implement welfare initiatives that directly benefit every section of society. He further encouraged citizens to remain actively involved in the development process by participating in public meetings and sharing their valuable feedback. He emphasised that cooperation between residents, elected representatives, and government departments is essential for transparent governance, better civic amenities, and sustainable long-term development across Mohali.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to responsive governance, efficient public service delivery, and community welfare across SAS Nagar Mohali.
