MLA Kulwant Singh Reviews Development Priorities in Tardauli Hussainpur
A Lok Milni programme was organised in Village Tardauli Hussainpur, SAS Nagar Mohali, on 8 July 2026, where MLA Kulwant Singh interacted with local residents to review ongoing development works, discuss public welfare initiatives, and understand the future development priorities of the village. The programme served as an important platform for direct communication between citizens and their elected representative while providing updates on the Punjab Government’s development agenda under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
During the interaction, residents were informed about the major development projects and welfare schemes implemented across SAS Nagar Mohali during the past four and a half years. Discussions focused on improvements in road connectivity, rural infrastructure, drinking water supply, sanitation, healthcare, education, public utilities, citizen services, and various welfare programmes that have significantly improved the quality of life across both villages and urban areas. Villagers also shared their suggestions, highlighted local development priorities, and discussed issues requiring attention from the concerned government departments.
Residents raised concerns related to roads, drainage, street lighting, sanitation, drinking water facilities, public infrastructure, and other civic amenities. MLA Kulwant Singh listened carefully to every representation and assured the villagers that all genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned government departments on priority. He emphasised that continuous follow-up would be maintained to ensure the timely resolution of public grievances and the effective implementation of development works.
Regular Lok Milni programmes play an important role in promoting transparent, accountable, and people-centric governance. Such interactions help identify grassroots challenges, strengthen coordination between government departments and local communities, increase awareness about government welfare schemes, and ensure that development projects remain aligned with the actual needs of the people. These meetings also encourage greater public participation in governance and strengthen the partnership between citizens and the administration.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that regular interaction with residents is essential for understanding local priorities and ensuring that development reaches every village. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government continues to strengthen public infrastructure, improve citizen services, and implement welfare initiatives that directly benefit every section of society. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the residents of Tardauli Hussainpur for their warm welcome, active participation, and continued cooperation, stating that their valuable suggestions would play an important role in guiding future development across the constituency.
He further encouraged villagers to remain actively involved in community meetings and continue working together with the administration for the progress of their village. He emphasised that cooperation between citizens, elected representatives, and government departments is the foundation of transparent governance, better civic amenities, and sustainable long-term development throughout Mohali.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to accelerating development works, strengthening rural infrastructure, and improving public services across SAS Nagar Mohali. Through sustained investment in essential infrastructure, responsive governance, and active community participation, the Punjab Government and MLA Kulwant Singh remain dedicated to building stronger villages, enhancing civic amenities, and creating a more prosperous, inclusive, and better-connected Mohali for all residents.
