Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana Reviews Public Concerns During Citizen Interaction
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana met residents from different parts of SAS Nagar Mohali at his office during a public grievance meeting to review civic issues, discuss local development priorities, and strengthen direct communication between citizens and the Municipal Corporation. The interaction formed part of the Mayor’s regular public outreach initiative, providing residents from various sectors, wards, and villages with an opportunity to directly present their grievances, share constructive suggestions, and seek timely action on matters affecting their neighbourhoods.
During the meeting, residents highlighted a wide range of civic issues related to roads, drainage, sanitation, sewerage, drinking water supply, street lighting, waste management, cleanliness, parks, public infrastructure, and other municipal services. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana patiently listened to every representation, reviewed each concern in detail, and assured the residents that all genuine issues falling within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation would be taken up on priority. He directed the concerned officials to examine every complaint carefully and ensure prompt and effective action for its resolution.
The interaction also provided an opportunity to review ongoing development works and discuss future civic priorities across Mohali. Residents appreciated the opportunity to interact directly with the Mayor and offered valuable suggestions for improving municipal services and strengthening public infrastructure. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana emphasised that regular public interaction is essential for transparent, accountable, and responsive governance. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that serving the people of Mohali through efficient municipal administration and the timely redressal of public grievances remains his highest priority. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is continuously working to modernise urban infrastructure, strengthen civic amenities, and deliver transparent, citizen-centric governance across the state. He added that every genuine concern raised by residents would be pursued sincerely and that the Municipal Corporation would continue working in close coordination with the concerned departments to improve the quality of life for every citizen.
He further reaffirmed the Municipal Corporation’s commitment to accelerating development works, modernising civic infrastructure, and ensuring efficient public service delivery throughout Mohali. He expressed confidence that active cooperation between residents, elected representatives, and municipal officials would play a key role in building a cleaner, greener, smarter, and better-connected city.
