Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana attended a Thanksgiving Path organised at a Gurdwara Sahib to celebrate the election of Bibi Sharanjeet Kaur Ji as the Municipal Councillor (MC) from Ward No. 39 in the Mohali Municipal Corporation elections. The religious programme was organised by Bibi Sharanjeet Kaur Ji and S. Rupinder Singh Ji Rupa (Sohana) as an expression of gratitude to Waheguru for the blessings received and the overwhelming support and trust shown by the people.
On the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana paid obeisance at the Gurdwara Sahib and offered Ardas for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of SAS Nagar Mohali. Joining the congregation in the thanksgiving prayers, he congratulated Bibi Sharanjeet Kaur Ji on her electoral victory and wished her success in serving the residents of Ward No. 39 with sincerity and dedication.
The thanksgiving programme witnessed the presence of family members, local residents, community leaders, supporters, and well-wishers, who gathered to celebrate the occasion in an atmosphere of faith, humility, and gratitude. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana interacted with members of the Sangat and appreciated the spirit of unity, public service, and devotion reflected through the religious gathering.
Congratulating the newly elected councillor, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana expressed confidence that Bibi Sharanjeet Kaur Ji would work tirelessly to fulfil the aspirations of the people and effectively address the civic needs of Ward No. 39. He emphasised that strong coordination between elected representatives and the Municipal Corporation is essential for improving civic amenities, strengthening urban infrastructure, enhancing sanitation, and ensuring balanced and sustainable development across Mohali.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that public representatives have a sacred responsibility to serve citizens with honesty, transparency, accountability, and commitment. He stated that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is continuously working to strengthen local governance, modernise civic infrastructure, improve public services, and promote people-centric development throughout the state.
