Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana Evaluates Progress of Municipal Development Initiatives
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana chaired a high-level development review meeting with senior officials and councillors of the Municipal Corporation, SAS Nagar Mohali, to assess the progress of ongoing civic projects, discuss development priorities, and strengthen coordination for the effective implementation of future initiatives. The meeting reaffirmed the Municipal Corporation’s commitment to planned urban development and delivering efficient, citizen-centric governance.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on a wide range of civic issues, including road infrastructure, sanitation, drainage systems, waste management, street lighting, public parks, water supply, environmental conservation, beautification projects, and the overall improvement of municipal services. Councillors presented ward-wise concerns and development proposals, while officials shared updates on ongoing works and outlined plans for the timely execution of upcoming projects.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana carefully reviewed the progress of various development works and appreciated the valuable suggestions offered by councillors and officials. He emphasised that continuous coordination, transparent decision-making, and collective planning are essential for ensuring balanced development across all sectors and wards of Mohali. He directed the concerned officials to maintain high standards of quality, complete projects within stipulated timelines, and address public grievances in a prompt and effective manner.
The Mayor highlighted that responsive governance depends on close cooperation between elected representatives, municipal officials, and citizens. He said that every development project should be guided by public interest, transparency, and accountability, ensuring that civic infrastructure keeps pace with the city’s rapid growth and evolving needs.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to modernising urban infrastructure, improving civic amenities, strengthening municipal services, and promoting sustainable development throughout the state. He reiterated that the Municipal Corporation will continue to work with dedication to provide better roads, cleaner surroundings, enhanced public facilities, and efficient civic services for every resident of Mohali.
The Mayor also appreciated the commitment and cooperation shown by all councillors and officials during the meeting. He expressed confidence that with collective efforts, effective planning, and active public participation, Mohali would continue to emerge as one of Punjab’s cleanest, most organised, and fastest-growing urban centres.
