Kulwant Singh Flags Off Pilgrimage Bus from Sector 71 Under Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Plan
Continuing initiatives to support the spiritual journeys of senior citizens, Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh flagged off a bus pilgrimage from Sector 71 under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Plan.
The bus carrying elderly pilgrims was flagged off in the presence of residents and local representatives, marking the beginning of a well-organised spiritual visit. During the journey, the pilgrims will travel to several prominent religious and historical destinations and will return after completing the pilgrimage.
Speaking on the occasion, Kulwant Singh said that the initiative is designed to ensure that senior citizens can undertake such journeys with ease, dignity, and proper support. He highlighted that many elderly residents often find it difficult to plan such visits independently, and this scheme provides them with a convenient and organised opportunity.
He further stated that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is ensuring that all necessary arrangements including transportation, accommodation, and meals are provided to the pilgrims throughout the journey.
Residents of Sector 71 appreciated the initiative and acknowledged the efforts being made for the welfare of senior citizens.
Kulwant Singh reiterated his commitment to ensuring that more residents of the constituency benefit from such welfare initiatives, enabling them to stay connected with their cultural and spiritual roots.
