MLA Kulwant Singh Listens to Public Concerns During Mohali Meeting
MLA Kulwant Singh held a public interaction programme in SAS Nagar Mohali on 13 June 2026, where residents from different parts of the constituency met him to discuss civic issues, public welfare, and local development priorities. The meeting provided citizens with a direct platform to present their concerns, seek assistance, and engage in meaningful dialogue, reflecting the Punjab Government’s continued commitment to accessible, transparent, and citizen-centric governance under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Residents from urban sectors, villages, residential colonies, and surrounding areas participated in the interaction and raised concerns related to roads, sanitation, drinking water supply, street lighting, public utilities, civic infrastructure, welfare schemes, and other community-related matters. The programme enabled citizens to directly communicate the challenges faced in their localities while ensuring that important public issues received the attention of their elected representative.
During the meeting, MLA Kulwant Singh patiently listened to every representation and reviewed the issues in detail. He assured residents that all genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned government departments and local authorities, and that continuous follow-up would be maintained to ensure timely action and effective resolution. He emphasised that regular public interaction remains one of the most effective ways to understand the needs of the people and improve governance.
Public grievance meetings have become an important pillar of responsive administration in Mohali. Such interactions strengthen communication between citizens and the government, improve transparency and accountability, and help identify local development priorities. Feedback received from residents also assists the administration in planning development projects more effectively and ensuring that public resources are utilised where they are needed the most.
As Mohali continues to expand as one of Punjab’s fastest-growing urban centres, the need for efficient civic infrastructure and quality public services continues to grow. Strengthening roads, sanitation, public amenities, healthcare, education, water supply, and other essential services remains a key focus to support the city’s rapid development while improving the overall quality of life for residents.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that listening to the concerns of the people and ensuring their timely resolution is one of the foremost responsibilities of a public representative. He stated that every issue raised during the meeting would be pursued with the concerned departments so that appropriate action could be taken without unnecessary delay. He reaffirmed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government remains committed to strengthening citizen services, improving infrastructure, and delivering development that benefits every section of society.
He further encouraged residents to continue participating in such public interaction programmes and to remain actively involved in the development process. He noted that constructive public feedback plays an important role in shaping better policies, improving government services, and ensuring balanced development across every village, sector, and neighbourhood of Mohali.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to responsive governance, public welfare, and community development. Through regular public engagement, close coordination with government departments, and sustained investment in infrastructure and citizen services, the Punjab Government and MLA Kulwant Singh remain dedicated to building a stronger, more progressive, and citizen-focused SAS Nagar Mohali.
