A Mohali pilgrimage began today as three buses carrying senior pilgrims from village Mojpur and Sector-78 were flagged off with green flags under the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Plan. The departure formally started the journey for the elders from the two Mohali locations, who will travel to religious, historical and cultural destinations included in the programme.

The senior pilgrims will complete visits to all the listed places before returning. The green-flag departure marked the beginning of the organised travel programme and brought residents from village Mojpur and Sector-78 together for a shared pilgrimage. The three buses will carry the group through the full itinerary prepared under the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Plan.

The Mohali pilgrimage is centred on five named destinations. The religious part of the itinerary includes Shri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple and Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal. The group will also visit Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum, bringing historical and cultural locations into the same journey.

Mohali pilgrimage includes five destinations

Shri Harmandir Sahib is among the main religious destinations included in the programme. The senior pilgrims will also visit Durgiana Temple and Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal during the journey. These three places make up the religious portion of the route and will be visited as part of the same pilgrimage.

The itinerary further includes Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum. These destinations add historical and heritage visits to the programme. Together with Shri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple and Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal, they form the complete list of five places that the senior pilgrims will visit before returning.

The three buses have started from the two named Mohali locations, carrying senior pilgrims towards the destinations included in the plan. The group will travel to Shri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal, Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum. After completing the scheduled visits, the pilgrims will return from the journey.

The route combines religious, historical and cultural visits in one programme. Shri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple and Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal are the religious places listed for the elders. Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum are included as historical and heritage locations. All five destinations form part of the same journey for the senior participants from Mojpur and Sector-78.

The departure with green flags marked the start of the travel programme under the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Plan. With the three buses leaving today, senior pilgrims from village Mojpur and Sector-78 have begun the route covering the five named destinations. Their return will take place after the visits included in the programme have been completed.

The Mohali pilgrimage therefore brings together senior residents from two locations for a single five-place itinerary. The journey begins with the buses carrying the elders from Mojpur and Sector-78 and continues through the listed religious, historical and cultural sites. The complete programme will conclude when the group returns after visiting all the destinations.

Facilities under the pilgrimage plan

During the Mohali pilgrimage, every facility of accommodation and food will be provided by the Mann government. The arrangement covers the senior pilgrims as they travel to the listed destinations and continue through the programme. Food and accommodation support will be available during the journey under the arrangements made for the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Plan.

The arrangement is part of the programme carrying senior pilgrims through the five-place route. The elders will travel between the religious destinations of Shri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple and Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal, and the historical and heritage locations of Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum. The food and accommodation facilities will cover their travel through the itinerary.

With the Mann government providing every facility of accommodation and food, the elders will continue their visits to the named religious, historical and cultural sites.
