Twenty-Six Sikligar Families from Jujhar Nagar Join Aam Aadmi Party in Mohali
Twenty-six families from the Sikligar community of Jujhar Nagar village in SAS Nagar Mohali officially joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) during a community programme held on 14 July 2026 in the presence of MLA Kulwant Singh. The joining ceremony witnessed the participation of local residents, community representatives, and party workers, reflecting growing public engagement in the democratic process.
Welcoming the new members into the party, MLA Kulwant Singh congratulated all 26 families and thanked them for expressing confidence in the Aam Aadmi Party’s vision of transparent governance, public welfare, and inclusive development. He said that every individual joining the party strengthens its commitment to serving the people and working collectively for the development of society.
During the programme, MLA Kulwant Singh interacted with members of the Sikligar community and discussed various issues related to local development, public welfare, education, healthcare, civic amenities, employment opportunities, and rural infrastructure. He emphasised that regular dialogue with residents is essential for understanding local needs and ensuring that development initiatives remain people-centric and responsive.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Kulwant Singh stated that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has been consistently working to improve public services, strengthen infrastructure, and implement welfare schemes that benefit every section of society. He said that the government’s focus remains on providing transparent administration, quality education, better healthcare, modern infrastructure, and equal development opportunities across Punjab.
He further assured the newly joined families that their suggestions and concerns would always receive due attention and that the government remains committed to delivering development that reaches every household without discrimination. He encouraged community members to actively participate in public welfare initiatives and contribute towards building a stronger and more progressive society.
