MLA Kulwant Singh Strengthens Citizen Outreach Through Public Grievance Meeting
MLA Kulwant Singh conducted a public interaction programme on June 13, 2026, where he met residents from various parts of the Mohali constituency and listened to their concerns regarding civic infrastructure, public services, and local development. The meeting provided citizens with a direct platform to discuss issues affecting their daily lives while reinforcing the commitment to transparent, accessible, and citizen-centric governance.
Residents representing urban sectors, villages, residential colonies, market areas, and surrounding localities of SAS Nagar Mohali participated in the programme and highlighted matters related to road maintenance, sanitation, water supply, drainage, street lighting, public utilities, civic amenities, welfare schemes, and other community concerns. Such interactions play a vital role in strengthening communication between citizens and public representatives while ensuring that local issues receive timely administrative attention.
During the meeting, MLA Kulwant Singh carefully reviewed each grievance and held discussions on matters requiring intervention from government departments and local authorities. He assured residents that their concerns would be taken up with the respective departments and that every possible effort would be made to ensure prompt action and effective resolution through proper coordination with the administration.
Public grievance meetings have become an important pillar of responsive governance, enabling residents to directly communicate their concerns and suggestions. Such programmes also help identify development priorities at the grassroots level, allowing public representatives to better understand the expectations of citizens and facilitate improved delivery of public services.
With Mohali emerging as one of Punjab’s fastest-growing urban centres, maintaining quality civic infrastructure and efficient public services has become increasingly important. Residents continue to expect faster grievance redressal, improved coordination among government departments, and timely implementation of development works. Regular interaction with the public helps strengthen administrative responsiveness and supports better planning for future development initiatives.
The programme also highlighted the significant role of community participation in governance. Constructive feedback from residents enables authorities to identify local challenges, prioritize development works, and implement solutions that address the real needs of the community. Strong collaboration between citizens, elected representatives, and government agencies remains essential for ensuring sustainable and inclusive development across the constituency.
Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has continued to focus on transparent governance, improved public service delivery, and strengthening citizen grievance redressal mechanisms. Regular public interaction programmes at the constituency level complement these initiatives by making governance more accessible, accountable, and responsive to the needs of the people.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that listening to the concerns of residents and ensuring their timely resolution remains one of his foremost responsibilities. He emphasized that direct interaction with citizens provides valuable insight into local challenges and helps strengthen coordination between public representatives and government departments.
He further stated that every issue raised during the meeting would be pursued with the concerned authorities and monitored until appropriate action is taken. Reaffirming his commitment to public welfare, he said that continued efforts would be made to strengthen infrastructure, improve citizen services, accelerate development works, and ensure that every village, sector, and neighbourhood of Mohali receives equal attention in the development process.
The public interaction programme concluded with assurances that all grievances and suggestions received from residents would be followed up with the relevant departments. As SAS Nagar Mohali continues to expand and evolve, regular citizen engagement, transparent governance, and responsive public administration will remain central to building stronger infrastructure, improving civic services, and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents across the constituency.
