MLA Kulwant Singh Engages with Bhagomajra Residents on Public Issues
MLA Kulwant Singh interacted with residents of Village Bhagomajra, SAS Nagar Mohali, on 2 July 2026 during a community outreach programme organised to strengthen public participation, review local development priorities, and address issues affecting the village. The meeting provided a valuable platform for villagers to directly communicate with their elected representative, discuss civic concerns, and receive updates on the Punjab Government’s ongoing development initiatives under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
During the interaction, residents raised a range of issues related to roads, drinking water supply, sanitation, street lighting, public infrastructure, community facilities, and other civic amenities. MLA Kulwant Singh listened carefully to every concern and assured the villagers that all genuine matters would be taken up with the concerned government departments for prompt action and effective resolution. He emphasised that regular interaction with citizens is essential for ensuring responsive governance and addressing local issues in a timely manner.
The meeting also highlighted the major development works and public welfare initiatives undertaken across SAS Nagar Mohali over the past four and a half years. Residents were informed about ongoing improvements in rural infrastructure, road connectivity, healthcare, education, drinking water facilities, citizen services, and various welfare programmes aimed at enhancing the quality of life in both villages and urban areas. Villagers were encouraged to continue sharing constructive suggestions so that future development projects remain aligned with local priorities.
Community interaction programmes such as these play an important role in strengthening transparency, accountability, and public trust. They help identify grassroots development needs, improve coordination between government departments and public representatives, and ensure that development initiatives are implemented effectively for the benefit of every section of society. Such engagements also encourage greater community participation in the overall development process.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that direct dialogue with residents provides valuable insight into the challenges faced by local communities and helps ensure that development remains people-centric. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is continuously working to strengthen public infrastructure, improve citizen services, and implement welfare initiatives that deliver tangible benefits to the people. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that every genuine concern raised by the residents receives timely attention.
He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the Gram Panchayat of Bhagomajra and the residents of the village for the affection, respect, and warm welcome extended to him during the programme. He appreciated the active participation of the villagers and encouraged them to continue working together for the progress and development of their community.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to accelerating development works, improving public services, and strengthening rural infrastructure across SAS Nagar Mohali. Through continuous public engagement, transparent governance, and sustained investment in essential infrastructure, the Punjab Government and MLA Kulwant Singh remain dedicated to building stronger villages, better civic amenities, and a brighter future for the people of Mohali.
