MLA Kulwant Singh Meets Villagers to Address Civic Issues in Bhagomajra
MLA Kulwant Singh met residents of Village Bhagomajra, SAS Nagar Mohali, on 2 July 2026 during a community interaction programme organised to strengthen public participation, review local development priorities, and discuss ongoing welfare initiatives. The programme offered villagers a valuable opportunity to directly interact with their elected representative, raise local concerns, and receive updates on the Punjab Government’s development agenda under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
During the interaction, residents highlighted various issues related to roads, drainage, sanitation, drinking water supply, street lighting, public infrastructure, and other civic amenities. MLA Kulwant Singh patiently listened to every concern and assured the villagers that all genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned government departments for prompt action and effective resolution. He emphasised that regular public interaction helps identify grassroots challenges and ensures that governance remains accessible, transparent, and responsive to the needs of the people.
The programme also provided an overview of the major development projects and welfare initiatives implemented across SAS Nagar Mohali over the past four and a half years. Residents were informed about improvements in road connectivity, rural infrastructure, healthcare, education, drinking water facilities, citizen services, and various public welfare schemes that have contributed to improving the standard of living across the constituency. Villagers were encouraged to continue participating in the development process by sharing constructive suggestions and local priorities for future planning.
Community meetings such as these play an important role in strengthening the relationship between citizens and the administration. They promote transparency, improve coordination between government departments and public representatives, and ensure that development initiatives remain aligned with the genuine needs of local communities. Such interactions also help accelerate the implementation of public projects and strengthen public confidence in governance.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that direct interaction with residents is essential for understanding local requirements and delivering meaningful development at the grassroots level. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government remains committed to strengthening public infrastructure, improving citizen services, and implementing welfare initiatives that benefit every section of society. He reaffirmed that every genuine concern raised during the meeting would receive due attention and be pursued with the concerned authorities.
He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Gram Panchayat of Bhagomajra and all the villagers for the affection, respect, and warm welcome extended to him. Appreciating the active participation of the residents, he encouraged them to continue working together with the administration to ensure the sustained development and progress of the village.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to accelerating development works and improving public services across SAS Nagar Mohali.
