Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana Discusses Future Development Roadmap for Mohali with CM Bhagwant Mann
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana met Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to discuss the ongoing and future development roadmap for SAS Nagar Mohali, with a focus on strengthening civic infrastructure, improving municipal services, and accelerating key public welfare projects. The meeting highlighted the shared commitment of the Punjab Government and the Municipal Corporation to promoting planned urban development and enhancing the quality of life for the city’s residents.
During the meeting, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana presented several proposals concerning Mohali’s growing infrastructure requirements, including roads, drainage systems, sanitation, water supply, street lighting, public parks, waste management, environmental conservation, and other essential civic amenities. He also discussed the need for sustainable urban planning and efficient municipal administration to meet the demands of the city’s rapidly expanding population.
The Mayor briefed the Chief Minister on the progress of various Municipal Corporation projects and emphasised the importance of continued cooperation between the State Government and the Municipal Corporation for the timely execution of development works. Both leaders discussed measures to strengthen public service delivery, improve civic infrastructure, and ensure balanced development across all sectors and wards of Mohali.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for his continued guidance and support towards the city’s development. He said that the Punjab Government’s proactive approach has played a significant role in accelerating infrastructure projects and improving essential public services for the people of Mohali. He added that the Municipal Corporation remains committed to implementing development initiatives efficiently and transparently for the benefit of every resident.
Speaking after the meeting, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government continues to prioritise modern urban infrastructure, transparent governance, and citizen-centric development across Punjab. He reaffirmed that the Municipal Corporation would work in close coordination with the State Government to ensure the successful implementation of projects that strengthen civic amenities, improve municipal services, and create a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Mohali.
The Mayor further stated that public welfare will remain the highest priority of the Municipal Corporation. He emphasised that every development initiative will focus on improving the daily lives of residents through better infrastructure, enhanced sanitation, efficient public services, environmental sustainability, and transparent governance. He also encouraged active public participation in the city’s development journey, stating that meaningful progress is possible through collective efforts.
