Congress Councillor Harjit Singh Bholu Joins AAP, Pledges Support for Public Welfare
A political joining programme was organised in Mohali on 4 August 2026, during which Harjit Singh Bholu, Municipal Councillor (MC) from Ward No. 30, formally joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) along with his team and a large number of supporters. The joining programme was held in the presence of MLA Kulwant Singh, who welcomed the new members into the party.
During the programme, Harjit Singh Bholu expressed his decision to join the Aam Aadmi Party, stating that he was inspired by the Punjab Government’s focus on development, transparent governance, and public welfare under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He said that he looks forward to contributing towards public service and working for the overall development of the Mohali constituency.
Several prominent local leaders and supporters also joined the Aam Aadmi Party on the occasion. Among those inducted into the party were Master Sukhdev Singh, Dildar Singh Billu, Shingara Sohana, Prem Singh, Jagdeep Singh, Ramandeep Sohana, and Gagandeep Singh Bari, along with many other party workers and local residents. Their induction was welcomed by party leaders and supporters present at the event.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Kulwant Singh extended a warm welcome to all the new members and said that their decision to join the party reflects growing public confidence in the Punjab Government’s people-centric governance and development initiatives. He expressed confidence that the experience, dedication, and grassroots connect of the new members would further strengthen the organisation and enhance public outreach across the constituency.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that every individual joining the party brings valuable experience and renewed enthusiasm for public service. He stated that the trust shown by the new members further strengthens the responsibility of the party to continue working with honesty, transparency, and dedication for the welfare of the people. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring inclusive development, responsive governance, and improved public services for residents across the Mohali constituency.
Harjit Singh Bholu thanked the party leadership for welcoming him into the organisation and expressed his commitment to working collectively with party workers and public representatives for the development of Mohali. He said he would actively participate in initiatives aimed at strengthening public welfare and addressing the concerns of local residents.
