Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana Strengthens Citizen Connect Through Regular Public Meetings
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana met residents from different sectors, wards, and villages of SAS Nagar Mohali during a public grievance programme held at his office. The interaction provided citizens with an opportunity to directly present civic and municipal issues affecting their localities and seek timely intervention from the Municipal Corporation.
During the meeting, residents raised concerns relating to roads, sanitation, drainage, sewerage, drinking water supply, street lighting, parks, cleanliness, public infrastructure, and other municipal services. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana patiently heard every representation and assured the attendees that all genuine grievances would be forwarded to the concerned Municipal Corporation officials and departments for prompt examination and necessary action.
The Mayor observed that regular interaction with citizens plays an important role in understanding the day-to-day challenges faced by local communities. He said that such meetings help the Municipal Corporation identify development priorities, monitor the progress of ongoing civic works, and improve coordination between the administration and the public. He added that direct public participation contributes significantly to better planning and more effective delivery of municipal services.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that serving the people of Mohali and addressing their concerns remains his highest priority. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government continues to focus on strengthening urban infrastructure, improving civic amenities, and delivering efficient, citizen-centric governance. He assured residents that every genuine issue brought before him would receive due attention and that sincere efforts would be made to ensure its early resolution.
The Mayor further reaffirmed his commitment to creating a cleaner, greener, and better-planned Mohali through continuous public engagement and effective municipal administration. He encouraged residents to remain actively involved in the city’s development by sharing their suggestions and concerns, noting that constructive public participation is essential for building a modern, inclusive, and well-managed urban environment.
