Mayor Samana Reviews Residents’ Concerns, Assures Coordination with Concerned Authorities
SAS Nagar Mohali, August 18, 2026: Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana met residents from different areas of SAS Nagar Mohali at his office, where people raised various local issues and concerns affecting their neighbourhoods. The interaction provided residents with a direct opportunity to discuss their problems with the Mayor and seek appropriate action from the Municipal Corporation.
During the meeting, residents apprised Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana of issues related to their respective localities. The Mayor listened to the concerns and took note of the matters brought before him. He assured the residents that issues falling within his jurisdiction would be taken up with the concerned authorities and that necessary efforts would be made for their timely resolution.
The Mayor emphasised that regular interaction with residents is essential for understanding civic issues at the ground level. Direct communication with people helps identify problems in different neighbourhoods and provides valuable feedback regarding the functioning of civic services.
He also stressed the importance of coordination between elected representatives, Municipal Corporation officials, and the concerned departments for effective grievance redressal. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana further said that public representatives have a responsibility to remain accessible to the people and understand the day-to-day challenges faced by residents. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that listening to residents and addressing their genuine concerns is an important part of people-oriented governance. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is working towards strengthening civic infrastructure, improving public services, and ensuring responsive governance. He assured the residents that sincere efforts would be made to pursue issues under his jurisdiction and seek their resolution at the earliest.
