As part of the ongoing Mohali Municipal Corporation election campaign, MLA Kulwant Singh visited Ward No. 37 and participated in a public outreach programme in support of AAP candidate Bibi Kuldeep Kaur. During the visit, he interacted with residents, discussed local development priorities, and highlighted the importance of responsive governance and improved civic services.
The programme witnessed active participation from local residents, community members, and supporters who engaged in discussions regarding infrastructure development, sanitation, public amenities, road maintenance, street lighting, and other civic concerns. Such interactions provide an important platform for understanding community needs and strengthening communication between citizens and public representatives.
Addressing residents during the event, MLA Kulwant Singh emphasized the significance of strong local governance in ensuring timely delivery of public services and sustainable urban development. He encouraged citizens to actively participate in the democratic process and support initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life across all sections of society.
Ward No. 37, like several rapidly developing areas of SAS Nagar Mohali, continues to witness growing demand for better infrastructure and enhanced municipal services. Effective coordination between elected representatives, local authorities, and residents remains essential for addressing these challenges and ensuring balanced development.
Mohali’s rapid urban expansion has further increased the need for citizen-focused planning, efficient public service delivery, and stronger municipal institutions. Local councillors play a crucial role in representing community interests, monitoring development projects, and ensuring that civic issues are addressed effectively.
Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has been focusing on transparent governance, public welfare, and strengthening grassroots democratic institutions. Municipal representatives are expected to contribute significantly to these efforts by working closely with residents and supporting development initiatives at the local level.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that residents deserve quality civic infrastructure, better public services, and accountable governance. He expressed confidence in Bibi Kuldeep Kaur’s commitment to public service and highlighted the importance of electing representatives who remain accessible to citizens and dedicated to addressing local concerns.
He further stated that meaningful development can only be achieved through continuous engagement with the community and a clear understanding of residents’ needs. According to him, regular interaction with citizens helps ensure that development initiatives remain focused on public welfare and long-term progress.
The programme concluded with discussions between residents and local leaders, reflecting the spirit of democratic participation and community engagement. As Mohali moves towards the municipal elections, the focus continues to remain on strengthening local governance, improving civic amenities, and ensuring inclusive development that benefits every neighbourhood and ward.
