MLA Kulwant Singh met a team of dedicated youth volunteers from the Mohali constituency on 28 July 2026 to appreciate their contribution towards the Punjab Government’s ongoing anti-drug campaign. The interaction focused on encouraging greater community participation, recognising the efforts of young volunteers, and reinforcing the collective commitment to building a drug-free Punjab.
The volunteers shared updates on their awareness activities being conducted across various villages, residential areas, educational institutions, and local communities. Their initiatives include educating citizens about the harmful effects of drug abuse, motivating young people to adopt healthy lifestyles, and encouraging families to actively support individuals seeking to overcome addiction.
Addressing the volunteers, MLA Kulwant Singh praised their dedication and said that young people have a vital role to play in bringing positive social change. He noted that awareness campaigns led by local volunteers help create stronger community engagement and inspire more citizens to participate in the fight against drug abuse.
Kulwant Singh said that eliminating drug abuse requires a united effort involving the government, educational institutions, families, social organisations, and the public.
