MLA Kulwant Singh Dedicates Modern Village Gym to Residents of Manana
Continuing the focus on rural development and citizen-centric governance, MLA Kulwant Singh visited Village Manana, SAS Nagar Mohali, on 27 June 2026, where he held a public interaction programme with local residents and inaugurated a newly constructed village gym. The visit combined direct public engagement with the inauguration of a modern community facility aimed at promoting health, fitness, and youth empowerment under the Punjab Government’s rural development initiatives led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
During the public meeting, residents from different sections of the village shared their concerns and suggestions regarding civic infrastructure, public services, village development, and other local issues. MLA Kulwant Singh patiently listened to every matter raised by the villagers and assured them that all genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned departments for prompt action and effective resolution. He reiterated that regular interaction with citizens plays a vital role in ensuring transparent, accountable, and responsive governance.
A major highlight of the programme was the inauguration of the newly developed Village Gym, which has been established to provide modern fitness facilities for the youth and residents of Manana. Following the inauguration, the facility was formally dedicated to the village community. The gym is expected to encourage young people to adopt healthier lifestyles, remain physically active, and make productive use of their time while promoting a culture of fitness and well-being within the village.
The new gym represents an important addition to the village’s community infrastructure and is expected to benefit people of all age groups. Besides promoting physical fitness, such facilities create opportunities for positive youth engagement, encourage discipline and self-confidence, and contribute to stronger community participation. Residents, especially the youth, welcomed the initiative and expressed appreciation for the development of modern recreational infrastructure within the village.
The programme also highlighted the Punjab Government’s continued commitment to strengthening rural infrastructure and creating quality public facilities that improve the everyday lives of citizens. Alongside roads, sanitation, public utilities, and other development works, investments in sports and fitness infrastructure are helping create healthier, more vibrant, and better-equipped rural communities across the Mohali constituency.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that true village development extends beyond physical infrastructure and includes creating opportunities that empower young people and improve the overall quality of life for residents. He stated that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, remains committed to strengthening rural infrastructure, enhancing citizen services, and developing community assets that directly benefit every village and every household.
He further emphasized that regular public meetings enable the administration to better understand local priorities while ensuring that development projects remain aligned with the needs and aspirations of the people. He reaffirmed his commitment to accelerating village development, strengthening public services, and creating more facilities that encourage youth development, community welfare, and healthy living.
The programme concluded with constructive discussions and a renewed commitment to continue improving public infrastructure and community facilities across SAS Nagar Mohali. Through sustained investment in rural development, active public participation, and responsive governance, the Punjab Government and MLA Kulwant Singh remain focused on building stronger villages, empowering youth, and enhancing the quality of life for residents throughout the constituency.
