MLA Kulwant Singh Interacts with Villagers in Mindhe Majra, Assures Focus on Local Development
Mohali: MLA Kulwant Singh held a public meeting with residents of Mindhe Majra village in the Mohali constituency on 13 August 2026, where he discussed development works, public welfare initiatives and the priorities of the Punjab Government.
During the interaction, residents were informed about various development and welfare initiatives undertaken by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann during the past four and a half years. The meeting also provided villagers an opportunity to directly interact with their elected representative and share their views and concerns regarding local issues.
MLA Kulwant Singh highlighted the government’s efforts towards improving basic infrastructure and strengthening welfare programmes for different sections of society. He said that development works and public welfare schemes are aimed at reaching people at the grassroots level and that regular interaction with residents is important to understand local requirements.
The MLA also listened to the views of residents and discussed matters concerning the village and surrounding areas. He emphasised that direct communication with people helps elected representatives better understand their priorities and work towards addressing issues through the appropriate authorities and departments.
A large number of residents participated in the public meeting. The gathering provided a platform for villagers to discuss both local development priorities and the broader work being undertaken by the state government.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has undertaken several initiatives over the past four and a half years for the welfare and progress of the people. He said that the government remains focused on development, public welfare and improving facilities for residents across the state.
He thanked the people of Mindhe Majra for participating in the meeting and for sharing their views. He said that continued dialogue with residents would remain an important part of his efforts to understand the needs of the constituency and work towards addressing genuine public concerns.
The meeting also had a political dimension ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections, with people attending the gathering expressing their support for the continuation of the Mann government.
