MLA Kulwant Singh Seeks Blessings at Thanksgiving Path Organised in Honour of Councillor Naseeb Singh Sandhu
A Thanksgiving Path Sahib ceremony was organized at Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan in Mohali following the Municipal Corporation elections, where MLA Kulwant Singh joined local residents, devotees, and community leaders to participate in the religious gathering held in gratitude after the election of Ward No. 24 Councillor S. Naseeb Singh Sandhu. The ceremony reflected Punjab’s rich tradition of expressing gratitude to the Almighty through prayer while seeking blessings for continued public service and the welfare of the community.
The programme witnessed the participation of family members, local representatives, party workers, and residents from across the area, who gathered at the Gurdwara Sahib to offer prayers and seek Guru Sahib’s blessings. The religious congregation served as an occasion to celebrate public trust while reaffirming the commitment to serving the people with sincerity, humility, and dedication.
During the ceremony, Ardaas was offered for peace, prosperity, and the overall development of Ward No. 24 and SAS Nagar Mohali. The gathering also provided an opportunity for meaningful interaction between residents and their elected representatives, allowing citizens to discuss local development priorities, civic infrastructure, public services, and community welfare initiatives.
Ward No. 24 continues to play an important role in the urban development of Mohali. With the city’s rapid growth, residents have increasing expectations regarding better roads, sanitation, water supply, public amenities, parks, and efficient civic services. Municipal councillors serve as an important link between the public and civic administration, ensuring that local concerns are addressed effectively and development projects are implemented in a timely manner.
The event also highlighted the importance of community participation in strengthening local governance. Religious and social gatherings not only reinforce cultural and spiritual values but also provide an opportunity for residents to come together, strengthen community bonds, and contribute towards the collective progress of their neighbourhoods.
As Mohali continues to emerge as one of Punjab’s fastest-growing urban centres, balanced development, improved citizen services, and active public participation remain essential for sustainable growth. Community-focused initiatives and regular interaction between public representatives and residents continue to strengthen transparent, responsive, and people-centric governance.
Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has consistently focused on strengthening local governance, improving civic infrastructure, enhancing public services, and promoting citizen-centric development across urban and rural areas. Municipal representatives play a key role in translating these development objectives into meaningful improvements at the grassroots level.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh congratulated Councillor S. Naseeb Singh Sandhu and his family on the occasion and expressed his gratitude to the residents of Ward No. 24 for their trust and support. He said that public service is both a privilege and a responsibility, and every elected representative must work with honesty, transparency, and dedication to fulfil the aspirations of the people.
He further stated that continuous dialogue with citizens is essential for effective governance and sustainable development. He expressed confidence that Councillor S. Naseeb Singh Sandhu would work closely with residents and civic authorities to strengthen public infrastructure, improve citizen services, and contribute significantly to the overall development of Ward No. 24 and SAS Nagar Mohali.
The Thanksgiving Path Sahib concluded with Ardaas, prayers for peace and prosperity, and warm interactions among residents, community leaders, and public representatives. The programme reflected the values of faith, gratitude, unity, and public service that continue to inspire community life in Mohali. As the city moves forward on its development journey, the spirit of cooperation between citizens and elected representatives will remain instrumental in building a cleaner, stronger, and more progressive Mohali.
