Kulwant Singh Upgrades 5 Transformers from 100 KVA to 200 KVA in Jagatpura, ₹20 Lakh Boost to Power Supply
Kulwant Singh, MLA of MLA Mohali, highlighted recent upgrades in power infrastructure in the Jagatpura area of Mohali aimed at improving electricity supply and load management.
Over the past month, five transformers of 100 KVA capacity have been upgraded to 200 KVA, with an estimated cost of around ₹20 lakh. The upgrade is expected to enhance power distribution capacity and reduce issues related to overloading.
In addition, a new 11 kV power line is being installed in the area at an estimated cost of ₹30 lakh. The project is intended to ensure uninterrupted power supply and better load distribution across Jagatpura.
The development is part of ongoing infrastructure improvement efforts under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, focusing on strengthening essential services across Punjab. At the constituency level, the Aam Aadmi Party Mohali continues to support such initiatives through coordination and implementation.
Residents of the area welcomed the upgrades, noting that improved electricity infrastructure will enhance reliability and support daily needs more effectively.
