Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana Shares Spiritual Message During Visit to Gurdwara Akal Ashram
SAS Nagar, Mohali: Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana paid a reverent visit to Gurdwara Akal Ashram, Sohana, SAS Nagar Mohali, where he offered prayers, sought the blessings of Guru Sahib, and participated in the holy congregation. During the visit, he met Bhai Davinder Singh Ji Khalsa and his jatha before their departure on a three-month Gurmat Prachar tour covering Canada, England, and several European countries.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana joined the Sangat in prayer and conveyed his heartfelt best wishes to Bhai Davinder Singh Ji Khalsa and the accompanying religious delegation for their international mission. He appreciated their unwavering commitment to spreading the teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and promoting the timeless values of Sikhism, including peace, compassion, equality, humility, and selfless service across the world.
Interacting with members of the Sangat, the Mayor said that Gurmat Prachar plays a significant role in strengthening the spiritual bond among Sikhs living across different countries while preserving Punjab’s rich religious and cultural heritage. He noted that such missions inspire younger generations to remain connected with Sikh values and traditions, irrespective of geographical boundaries.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana also expressed his gratitude to the management committee, sewadars, and organisers of Gurdwara Akal Ashram for their warm welcome and hospitality. He remarked that Gurdwaras have always served as centres of spirituality, community service, and social harmony, guiding society through the principles of faith, equality, and humanitarian service.
Addressing the gathering, the Mayor said that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government remains committed to preserving the state’s rich spiritual, cultural, and historical heritage while promoting values that strengthen social unity and communal harmony. He added that the teachings of Guru Sahib continue to inspire humanity to lead lives based on honesty, compassion, humility, and service to others.
