Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana Reviews Ward-Wise Development Plans with Mohali Councillors
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana chaired a comprehensive review meeting with the councillors of the Municipal Corporation, SAS Nagar Mohali, to discuss ward-wise development priorities, assess the progress of ongoing civic projects, and strengthen coordination for the timely delivery of public services. Councillors representing different wards of Mohali participated in the meeting and shared updates on local development requirements, infrastructure projects, and civic issues affecting their respective areas.
During the meeting, the councillors presented the concerns and suggestions received from residents regarding roads, sanitation, drainage, street lighting, water supply, parks, public cleanliness, waste management, and other municipal services. They also reviewed the status of ongoing development works and highlighted the need for the timely execution of projects to improve civic infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for citizens across Mohali.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana carefully listened to the views of every councillor and encouraged detailed discussions on the challenges being faced in different wards. He emphasised that continuous coordination between elected representatives and Municipal Corporation officials is essential for identifying local priorities, resolving public grievances efficiently, and ensuring balanced development throughout the city.
The Mayor stated that each ward has unique development needs and that the Municipal Corporation remains committed to addressing them through systematic planning, regular field monitoring, and transparent implementation of projects. He directed the concerned officials to examine all issues raised during the meeting, maintain close coordination with councillors, and ensure that necessary action is taken without unnecessary delay.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana further stressed the importance of accountability, regular progress reviews, and timely completion of development works. He said that effective communication between councillors and the administration plays a vital role in improving municipal services and ensuring that development initiatives remain aligned with the expectations of the people.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is continuously working to strengthen urban infrastructure, modernise civic amenities, and promote transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance across the state. He assured all councillors that the concerns and proposals presented during the meeting would receive due consideration and that sincere efforts would be made to resolve the issues of every ward at the earliest. He reaffirmed the Municipal Corporation’s commitment to planned, inclusive, and sustainable development across SAS Nagar Mohali.
