Mohali Residents Meet Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana to Discuss Local Development
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana met residents from different sectors, wards, and villages of SAS Nagar Mohali during a public interaction programme held at his office. The meeting formed part of his ongoing public outreach initiative aimed at maintaining direct communication with citizens and ensuring that civic issues receive timely attention through the Municipal Corporation.
During the interaction, residents raised a range of civic and municipal concerns affecting their localities, including roads, sanitation, drainage, drinking water supply, street lighting, sewerage, parks, cleanliness, and other public infrastructure-related matters. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana patiently heard each representation and assured the residents that all genuine issues would be forwarded to the concerned Municipal Corporation officials and departments for appropriate and timely action.
The Mayor emphasised that regular interaction with citizens is essential for understanding the day-to-day challenges faced by local communities and for ensuring that development works are carried out according to public needs. He observed that such meetings not only strengthen communication between the administration and residents but also help improve the planning, monitoring, and execution of civic development projects across the city.
Highlighting the importance of responsive governance, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that effective coordination among Municipal Corporation officials and other government departments is necessary for delivering efficient public services. He added that continuous monitoring of civic works and prompt follow-up on public grievances remain key priorities in ensuring better municipal administration.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that serving the people of Mohali and addressing their concerns in a transparent and accountable manner remains his foremost responsibility. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening urban infrastructure, improving municipal services, and promoting citizen-centric governance. He assured residents that every genuine issue brought before him would receive due attention and that sincere efforts would be made to ensure its early resolution.
The Mayor further reaffirmed his commitment to working towards cleaner neighbourhoods, improved civic amenities, better public infrastructure, and enhanced municipal services throughout SAS Nagar Mohali. He encouraged residents to continue participating in such public interaction programmes, noting that active public involvement plays an important role in building a more responsive, transparent, and efficient civic administration.
