Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana Strengthens Public Outreach and Civic Services
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana welcomed several well-wishers, community leaders, social workers, and residents from different parts of SAS Nagar Mohali who visited his office to extend their greetings and best wishes. The meeting also served as a public interaction programme where residents had the opportunity to directly discuss civic concerns, development priorities, and issues affecting their respective localities, reflecting the Municipal Corporation’s continued commitment to accessible and citizen-centric governance.
Throughout the day, delegations and individual residents from various sectors and villages of Mohali met the Mayor to convey their goodwill and appreciation while sharing suggestions for the city’s continued growth and development. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the affection, encouragement, and trust shown by the people, stating that their continued support inspires him to work with greater dedication, transparency, and commitment towards public service and the overall development of Mohali.
During the interaction, residents also raised several civic issues related to road maintenance, sanitation, sewerage, drainage, street lighting, drinking water supply, cleanliness, waste management, parks, and other municipal services. The Mayor listened carefully to every representation, reviewed the concerns in detail, and assured the residents that all genuine matters falling within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation would be taken up on priority. He directed the concerned officials to examine the issues thoroughly and initiate prompt action to ensure their timely resolution.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana emphasised that maintaining direct communication with citizens is one of the most effective ways to understand ground-level challenges and improve public service delivery. He said that regular interaction with residents helps identify local priorities, strengthens transparency and accountability, and enables the Municipal Corporation to implement development works according to the actual needs of the people.
