Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana Offers Prayers for the Departed Soul of Sukhwinder Singh Virk
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana visited Village Landran, SAS Nagar Mohali, to pay his heartfelt tributes to Late Sukhwinder Singh Virk Ji and extend his deepest condolences to the bereaved family. On the occasion of the Antim Ardas (final prayer ceremony), the Mayor attended the religious gathering at the local Gurdwara Sahib, where he joined the Sangat in offering prayers for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
During the visit, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana met the family members and relatives of Late Sukhwinder Singh Virk Ji and conveyed his sincere sympathies. Sharing in their grief, he offered words of comfort and strength, acknowledging the profound loss suffered by the family. He expressed hope that Waheguru would bless them with courage, patience, and resilience to overcome this difficult phase of life.
Paying obeisance at the Gurdwara Sahib, the Mayor offered Ardas for the departed soul and prayed that the Almighty grant eternal peace and a place at His holy feet to the deceased. He also prayed for the good health, strength, and well-being of the bereaved family, emphasising that faith and the support of loved ones help people find courage during moments of personal loss.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that compassion, empathy, and standing with families during times of sorrow are among the highest values of society. He noted that offering condolences and sharing grief with fellow citizens strengthens the spirit of humanity and reflects the culture of mutual respect and social harmony that has always been a part of Punjab’s traditions.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that although no words can truly ease the pain of losing a loved one, extending emotional support and standing beside grieving families is a collective social responsibility. He prayed that Waheguru bless the departed soul with eternal peace and grant every member of the family the courage and strength to bear this irreparable loss with faith and dignity.
The Mayor also appreciated the presence of relatives, friends, and members of the local community who gathered to offer prayers and support to the bereaved family. He remarked that such expressions of solidarity reflect the strong social bonds and community spirit that continue to unite the people of SAS Nagar Mohali.
