Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana Flags Off Pilgrimage Bus for Senior Citizens from Sector 70
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana flagged off a special pilgrimage bus under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme from Sector 70, SAS Nagar Mohali, enabling senior citizens to embark on a spiritually enriching journey to some of Punjab’s most revered religious and historical destinations. The welfare initiative, launched by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, aims to provide elderly citizens with an opportunity to undertake religious travel with dignity, comfort, and complete government support.
The pilgrimage itinerary includes visits to Sri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirath Sthal, Jallianwala Bagh, and the Partition Museum in Amritsar. These sacred and historically significant destinations provide pilgrims with an opportunity to seek spiritual blessings while experiencing Punjab’s rich religious, cultural, and historical heritage.
Before flagging off the bus, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana interacted with the senior citizens and extended his heartfelt wishes for a safe, comfortable, and spiritually fulfilling journey. He expressed satisfaction that elderly residents of Mohali were being given the opportunity to visit these revered places without having to worry about transportation, accommodation, or other travel-related arrangements. The Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme has been introduced to make religious travel more accessible for senior citizens across Punjab.
