Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana Participates in Religious Thanksgiving Programme
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana attended a Thanksgiving Path (Shukrana Path) organised at a Gurdwara Sahib to mark the victory of Bibi Parminder Kaur Ji, who was recently elected as the Municipal Councillor (MC) from Ward No. 47 in the Mohali Municipal Corporation elections. The religious programme was organised by Bibi Parminder Kaur Ji and her husband, S. Gurjinder Singh Ji, as an expression of gratitude to the Almighty and to the people for their blessings, trust, and overwhelming support.
During the programme, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana paid obeisance at the Gurdwara Sahib, joined the Sangat in the Shukrana Path, and offered Ardas for the continued peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Mohali. He congratulated Bibi Parminder Kaur Ji and her family on the electoral victory and wished her success in serving the residents of Ward No. 47 with honesty, dedication, and commitment.
The thanksgiving ceremony was attended by family members, local residents, community leaders, supporters, and well-wishers, who gathered to celebrate the occasion in an atmosphere of faith, gratitude, and community harmony. Interacting with those present, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that elected representatives have an important responsibility to remain connected with the people and work tirelessly for the welfare of their respective wards. He expressed confidence that Bibi Parminder Kaur Ji would work in close coordination with the Municipal Corporation to strengthen civic infrastructure, improve municipal services, and address the aspirations of the residents of Ward No. 47. He emphasised that cooperation among councillors, civic officials, and citizens is essential for ensuring balanced and sustainable development across Mohali.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government remains committed to strengthening local self-governance, improving civic infrastructure, and delivering transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric public services across the state. He congratulated Bibi Parminder Kaur Ji on her electoral success and expressed confidence that she would fulfil the trust reposed in her by the people through dedicated public service. He further observed that religious gatherings such as the Shukrana Path inspire public representatives to remain humble, committed, and focused on serving society with sincerity.
