MLA Mohali Kulwant Singh Distributes Financial Aid Under Rangla Punjab Scheme, Boosts Village Development
In a major step towards improving rural living conditions and accelerating development, MLA Mohali Kulwant Singh today distributed financial assistance under the Rangla Punjab scheme initiated by the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led government. The initiative aims to uplift families living in underdeveloped housing conditions and strengthen infrastructure across villages.
As part of the program, cheques worth ₹2 lakh each were handed over to 9 families from the constituency to support the repair and improvement of their raw (kutcha) houses. This financial assistance is expected to significantly enhance their living standards by enabling them to convert their homes into safer and more durable structures.
The distribution ceremony was attended by local residents, beneficiaries, and panchayat representatives, who expressed their gratitude towards the government for providing timely support. For many families, this assistance comes as a much-needed relief, helping them build secure and comfortable homes.
In addition to individual housing support, the MLA also announced grants for development works in several villages. A fund of ₹5 lakh was allocated to Kallon village, ₹8 lakh to Mananan village, and ₹6 lakh to Jhampur village. These funds are intended to be used for essential infrastructure and community development projects, including roads, sanitation, and public facilities.
Kulwant Singh personally handed over the grant cheques to the respective panchayats and emphasized the importance of utilizing the funds effectively. He instructed the local authorities to ensure that development works are completed at the earliest, without delays, so that residents can benefit as soon as possible.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA highlighted the government’s commitment to rural development and welfare. “The Rangla Punjab scheme is focused on improving the quality of life for our people. Whether it is providing better housing or strengthening village infrastructure, our goal is to ensure inclusive and balanced development,” he said.
Beneficiaries expressed their appreciation, stating that the financial aid will bring positive change to their lives. Many families shared that they had been struggling with poor housing conditions for years, and this support will now help them build safer homes for their families.
Village representatives also welcomed the development grants and assured that the funds would be used transparently and efficiently. They acknowledged that such initiatives are crucial for the overall progress of rural areas.
Local observers noted that the combined focus on housing and infrastructure reflects a comprehensive approach to development. By addressing both individual and community needs, the scheme is expected to create long-term benefits for the region.
Kulwant Singh reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that all eligible families and villages receive the benefits of government schemes. He assured that continuous monitoring will be carried out to ensure timely completion of projects.
The event concluded on a positive note, with beneficiaries and villagers expressing optimism about improved living conditions and enhanced development in their areas. Through such initiatives, the Punjab Government continues to work towards building stronger, safer, and more prosperous communities.
