MLA Kulwant Singh Launches Election Campaign for Ward 50 Candidate Harpal Singh Brar in Mohali
As preparations for the Mohali Municipal Corporation elections intensified, MLA Kulwant Singh participated in the launch of the election campaign of Ward No. 50 candidate Harpal Singh Brar. The campaign was formally inaugurated in the presence of local residents, party workers, supporters, and community members who gathered to extend their support and engage in the democratic process.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from residents of the area, reflecting growing public interest in local governance and community development. Municipal elections play a crucial role in strengthening civic administration by providing citizens with an opportunity to elect representatives who can address local concerns and work towards the development of their respective wards.
During the programme, local residents interacted with community leaders and discussed issues related to civic infrastructure, sanitation, road maintenance, street lighting, public amenities, and other municipal services. Such interactions help ensure that public representatives remain aware of local priorities and community expectations.
Mohali’s continued urban expansion has increased the importance of effective municipal governance and citizen-focused development. Elected councillors play a significant role in implementing development projects, improving public services, and addressing grassroots concerns that directly impact residents’ daily lives.
The campaign launch also highlighted the importance of active citizen participation in the democratic process. Public involvement strengthens accountability, encourages transparency, and helps create a more responsive system of local governance. Community engagement remains a key factor in ensuring sustainable urban growth and improved quality of life.
Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has been promoting transparent governance, improved public services, and stronger local institutions. Municipal representatives are expected to contribute to these objectives by working closely with residents and supporting development initiatives at the ward level.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh emphasized that elected representatives must remain accessible to the people and committed to addressing their concerns. He stated that local leaders have an important responsibility to work consistently for the welfare and development of their communities.
He further expressed confidence that active public participation and constructive dialogue would strengthen local governance and contribute to Mohali’s continued progress. He encouraged residents to take part in the electoral process and support initiatives aimed at enhancing civic infrastructure and public services.
The programme concluded with interactions between residents, community leaders, and campaign volunteers. As Mohali moves closer to the municipal elections, the focus remains on strengthening local governance, improving civic amenities, and ensuring development that benefits residents across all areas of the city.
