Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana Strengthens Public Connect Through Citizen Interaction
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana welcomed several well-wishers, community leaders, social workers, and residents from different sectors, wards, and villages of SAS Nagar Mohali who visited his office to extend their greetings and best wishes. The meeting also served as an important public interaction programme where residents had the opportunity to directly discuss civic issues, development-related concerns, and matters affecting their respective localities.
Throughout the interaction, people from different parts of Mohali conveyed their goodwill and appreciation for the ongoing development works while sharing their expectations for the city’s continued progress. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana thanked everyone for their affection, encouragement, and trust, stating that the support and confidence of the people inspire him to work with greater dedication, transparency, and commitment towards public service and the overall development of Mohali.
Along with the courtesy visits, several residents also raised concerns related to roads, sewerage, sanitation, drainage, street lighting, drinking water supply, parks, cleanliness, and other essential municipal services. The Mayor patiently listened to every representation and assured the citizens that all genuine issues would be forwarded to the concerned departments for immediate examination and timely resolution. He also directed officials to maintain regular follow-up on pending matters so that public grievances are addressed without unnecessary delay.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana emphasised that direct interaction with citizens plays a vital role in strengthening responsive governance. He said that maintaining an open-door approach enables the Municipal Corporation to better understand grassroots challenges, identify local development priorities, and deliver more efficient civic services. He added that continuous communication with residents helps improve transparency, accountability, and public confidence in the administration.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that he was sincerely grateful to everyone who visited his office and extended their support and goodwill. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government remains committed to strengthening public infrastructure, modernising citizen services, and ensuring transparent, people-centric governance across the state. He assured residents that every genuine issue brought before him would receive due attention and that sincere efforts would be made to resolve public concerns through effective coordination with the concerned authorities.
The Mayor also encouraged citizens to remain actively involved in the development of their localities by sharing constructive suggestions and reporting civic issues in a timely manner. He said that active public participation is one of the strongest pillars of good governance and plays a key role in building a cleaner, greener, and more progressive Mohali.
