MLA Kulwant Singh Reviews Development Priorities During Jujhar Nagar Visit
A community interaction programme was organised in Village Jujhar Nagar, SAS Nagar Mohali, on 7 July 2026, where MLA Kulwant Singh met local residents to review ongoing development works, discuss public welfare initiatives, and understand the future development priorities of the village. The programme served as an important platform for direct communication between citizens and their elected representative while sharing updates on the Punjab Government’s development agenda under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
During the interaction, residents were informed about the major development projects and welfare schemes implemented across SAS Nagar Mohali during the past four and a half years. Discussions focused on improvements in road connectivity, rural infrastructure, drinking water supply, sanitation, healthcare, education, public utilities, citizen services, and various welfare programmes that have significantly improved the quality of life across both villages and urban areas. Villagers also shared their suggestions, highlighted local development priorities, and discussed issues requiring attention from the concerned government departments.
As part of the programme, a special documentary based on the life, philosophy, and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji was screened to spread awareness about his timeless message of equality, social justice, dignity, compassion, harmony, and selfless service. The documentary was warmly appreciated by the gathering and inspired residents to strengthen the values of unity, mutual respect, and social harmony while contributing towards the overall development of their communities.
The programme highlighted the importance of combining infrastructure development with social awareness and active public participation. Community interactions such as these strengthen communication between citizens and the administration, improve transparency in governance, increase awareness about government welfare initiatives, and ensure that development projects remain aligned with the actual needs of local communities. Such programmes also encourage greater public participation in creating a progressive, inclusive, and socially responsible society.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that meaningful development is achieved not only by strengthening public infrastructure but also by promoting values that unite society. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government continues to improve citizen services, strengthen public infrastructure, and implement welfare initiatives that directly benefit every section of society. He also appreciated the initiative of showcasing the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji, stating that his message of equality, brotherhood, and humanity continues to inspire generations and contributes to building a stronger and more harmonious society.
He further encouraged residents to remain actively involved in community development and continue supporting government initiatives that promote education, social harmony, public welfare, and inclusive growth. He emphasised that cooperation between citizens, elected representatives, and government departments is the foundation of transparent governance and sustainable long-term development.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to accelerating development works, strengthening rural infrastructure, promoting social harmony, and improving public services across SAS Nagar Mohali. Through sustained investment in essential infrastructure, responsive governance, community welfare initiatives, and active citizen participation, the Punjab Government and MLA Kulwant Singh remain dedicated to building stronger villages, enhancing civic amenities, and creating a more prosperous, inclusive, and socially harmonious Mohali.
