As part of ongoing public outreach activities in Mohali, MLA Kulwant Singh visited Ward No. 27 and interacted with residents while extending support to Aam Aadmi Party candidate Bibi Jasbir Kaur Atli. The programme provided an opportunity to engage directly with citizens, understand local concerns, and discuss key development priorities for the area.
During the visit, residents from different parts of the ward shared their views on civic infrastructure, sanitation, road maintenance, street lighting, public parks, and other community-related issues. Such interactions play an important role in strengthening communication between citizens and public representatives while ensuring that local development remains aligned with the needs of the community.
Local governance continues to be an important pillar of urban development, particularly in rapidly growing cities like Mohali. Municipal representatives play a significant role in addressing neighbourhood-level concerns, coordinating with civic authorities, and ensuring the effective delivery of public services. Their efforts contribute directly to improving the quality of life for residents and supporting sustainable urban growth.
The programme also highlighted the importance of citizen participation in governance and community development. Active engagement by residents helps identify local priorities, encourages transparency, and strengthens accountability in public administration. Such collaboration between citizens and elected representatives is essential for building well-planned and responsive communities.
Mohali’s continued expansion has increased the demand for improved civic amenities, better infrastructure, and efficient municipal services. Addressing these challenges requires coordinated efforts between local authorities, community leaders, and residents to ensure that development initiatives are implemented effectively and benefit all sections of society.
Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has been focusing on strengthening local governance, improving public services, and promoting citizen-centric development. Municipal representatives are expected to play a key role in advancing these objectives by addressing grassroots concerns and supporting development projects at the ward level.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh emphasized the importance of responsive governance and regular engagement with citizens. He stated that understanding the needs of residents is essential for effective planning and the successful implementation of development initiatives.
He further expressed confidence in Bibi Jasbir Kaur Atli’s ability to serve the people of Ward 27 and work towards addressing local issues. He reiterated his commitment to supporting development projects, improving civic infrastructure, and ensuring that residents receive quality public services.
The programme concluded with discussions between residents and local leaders, reflecting the importance of community participation in shaping the future of the area. As Mohali continues to grow and develop, the focus remains on strengthening civic infrastructure, improving public services, and ensuring inclusive development that benefits every neighbourhood and community.
