During the visit, a community interaction centre was formally inaugurated to facilitate better communication and engagement with local residents. The facility is expected to serve as a platform for public interaction, discussions on civic issues, and coordination of community-focused initiatives aimed at addressing local concerns and development requirements.
Residents from different parts of the ward participated in the programme and shared their views regarding road maintenance, sanitation, street lighting, water supply, waste management, parks, and other essential civic amenities. Such engagements help strengthen communication between citizens and public representatives while ensuring that community concerns remain central to development planning and governance.
Ward No. 24 continues to witness increasing demand for improved infrastructure and efficient public services. Municipal representatives play a crucial role in addressing local concerns, coordinating with civic authorities, and ensuring that development projects are implemented effectively for the benefit of residents. Strong local governance remains essential for supporting sustainable urban growth and enhancing the quality of life within the community.
The programme highlighted the importance of active citizen participation in governance and community development. Regular engagement with residents helps identify local priorities, promotes transparency, and strengthens accountability in public administration. Such collaborative efforts contribute significantly to the successful implementation of development initiatives and public welfare programmes at the grassroots level.
Mohali’s rapid urban expansion has increased the need for responsive municipal administration, quality public services, and citizen-focused development planning. Addressing these challenges requires coordinated efforts between local authorities, elected representatives, and community stakeholders to ensure balanced and inclusive growth across all neighbourhoods.
Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has been focusing on strengthening local governance, improving public services, and promoting citizen-centric development. Municipal representatives are expected to contribute to these objectives by supporting grassroots initiatives and ensuring that public welfare remains a key priority.
